Pantless Florida woman charged with DUI
Pantless Florida woman charged with DUI.
Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a 51-year-old woman Sunday night after they found her pantless in a parked car blocking traffic, according to the arrest report.
Karen Drake had been kicked out of her home earlier that day so she moved herself, her boxed wine and her dog into her 2009 Hyundai.
Drake likely would have been fine there for the time being if she hadn’t drank the two shots of “fireball whiskey” deputies say she had that night and if she hadn’t parked her car in the roadway.
Deputies received multiple calls about Drake’s car blocking the roadway and arrived to find her pantless lying in the driver’s seat with her dog by her side, according to the arrest report.
Apparently whiskey isn’t for everyone, because deputies say Drake not only vomited earlier that evening, but also urinated on herself, which is why she wasn’t wearing pants.
The deputy on scene administered field sobriety tests, which Drake failed. But Drake should have known the drill since records show she already has a prior DUI conviction.
Because Drake’s keys were within reach, she was arrested and charged with a DUI.
When the deputy searched her vehicle, he found mounds and an empty box of boxed wine.
As for the dog, it’s being cared for by Marion County Animal Services.
