WOMAN BUSTED AFTER KID PULLS BAG OF COCAINE OUT OF HER BRA DURING TRAFFIC STOP.
Story from Feb 2015
A routine traffic stop turned into a drug bust thanks to an innocent toddler sitting in the back seat.
Deputies initially pulled the car over because of its tinted windows and an unsecured bicycle sticking out of the trunk.
However, the driver, Candyce Harden, seemed nervous, so police decided to investigate further and asked Crystal Matthews and an 11-month old boy sitting back seat to exit the car.
It’s unclear which woman the toddler belonged to.
When deputies ran Matthews’ name, they discovered she was on “Florida Inmate Release status” for the sale/manufacture/or delivery of cocaine.
As the K-9 unit arrived, they did a search of the vehicle. No drugs were found inside the car, but a female deputy was asked to search the women.
Before someone could say, “Spread ’em,” the tot did the dirty work for the cops and reached inside Harden’s bra and pulled out a baggie of cocaine.
Looks like someone has a future in law enforcement.
Harden snatched the bag away from the child and threw it on the ground.
Officers found three more bags with cocaine residue, in addition to pills without a prescription.
Harden was issued a laundry list of charges, including child abuse, possession of cocaine, possession of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of pills without prescription, possession of paraphernalia and smuggling contraband into a prison facility.
The 29-year-old woman was released after posting $4,500 bail.
